St Clare’s Chapel ADORATION

Eucharistic Adoration 11am to 7pm daily. In order to facilitate social distancing, it will be held in the main part of the church until further notice. National Novena at Knock Shrine ends 22 August 2023

The National Novena to Our Lady of Knock offers you the opportunity to step away from everyday life and immerse yourself in prayer in the beautiful, peaceful grounds of Knock Shrine. Over the course of the nine-day Novena, we will hear from guest Homilists and Speakers during daily ceremonies at 3pm and 8pm at Knock Basilica. Our theme for this year is ‘Caring for Creation’. CATHEDRAL ALTAR SOCIETY Would you be willing to give one hour per week for two months of the year? We are looking for new members to join the Altar Society in the Cathedral. We are very grateful to all the ladies who have helped over the years and to all who are still involved. You are invited to come to a meeting on Tuesday 29th August at 7.30pm in the Conference Room in the Cathedral.

FR. ANTHONY FAGAN’S RETIREMENT MASS Fr. Anthony Fagan is retiring from active ministry in Knockbride Parish at the end of August. A special Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated in West Knockbride (Tunnyduff) on Thursday 24th August at 7pm. The Mass will be followed by refreshments in Tunnyduff Hall. All are welcome to attend.

Strides for Life This is a walking programme for people recovering from cancer treatment. The programme aims to bring participants to a level of fitness where they can help reduce their risk of a recurrence and improve their health and quality of life. Recommended by the Irish Cancer Society, it is individualised for each participant’s fitness level with a personal schedule which gradually increases every week over the 12 weeks. The course will begin in Cavan in September. Organised by the Cuan cancer social and support centre, the course is free and is suitable for all levels of ability.
