Blessing of Graves 2023 Families are asked to prepare their plots for the forthcoming Blessing of Graves. Please bring your own holy water with you to bless the grave. A collection will be taken up at the Blessing to fund the upkeep of the cemeteries throughout the year. Those attending are asked to be as generous as they possibly can.

St Clare’s Chapel ADORATION

Eucharistic Adoration 11am to 7pm daily. In order to facilitate social distancing, it will be held in the main part of the church until further notice. New members to undertake 1 hour of pray per week in the presence of the Blessed of the Sacrament are especially welcome. Contact Liam at 087 2358440 to arrange your hour.

World Day for Grandparents

Sunday, July 23rd marks the third World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. Bishop Denis Nulty will lead the ceremonies for the Annual Catholic Grandparents Association Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine with anointing of the sick at 2.30pm and Mass at 3pm followed by the procession.


Mini Night Vigil to Knock on Friday 4th August 2023. Bus leaving Cavan Cathedral at 5.30pm sharp, Ballinagh 5.45pm and Lynch’s, Killydoon 6pm. To book a place please phone 049 4337101.


You are invited! Archbishop Eamon Martin will celebrate Mass at Slane on 6 August as part of the Light the Fire rosary/healing service on World Youth Day. Sister Briege McKenna will lead the healing service while Eurovision's Dana will sing her new song for Saint Patrick which recalls how our patron saint lit the fire of faith on Slane in 433AD. English Classes and Social Activities for those whose First Language is NOT English and need help to improve English Speaking skills. The classes are free of charge. The classes will be held in Castlemanor Community Centre as follows: Thursdays 27th July, 3rd, 10th & 17th August. Classes 2pm – 4pm. Class will include a break and refreshments will be provided.
