LECTIO DIVINA, a prayerful reading of the Sunday gospel has resumed each Tuesday after 10am Mass in the Cathedral. Come and give it a try for half an hour in the Conference room behind the altar.

Cathedral Fundraising

Last week we posted over 700 information packs about the Cathedral Renovations and ways parishioners can support it. We have had a number of meetings. Due to the busy time of year we are unable to have any more meetings in December. We will be holding two more meetings in January and all who received packs already are welcome to attend. If you wish to receive a pack they are available in the front porch today or call to the Presbytery, Monday – Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm


ENVELOPES 2023

Envelopes for 2023 will be ready for distribution from Monday 19th December 2022. We are asking distributors to call to the Presbytery from Monday onwards to collect the boxes. We also need new distributors to help in some areas. Please contact the Presbytery 049 4331404 if you can help us.


Monthly Collection If you would like to contribute towards the upkeep of the priests in our parish for 2022 and have not done so your contribution will be welcome at the weekend Masses or drop your contribution in a clearly marked envelope into the Presbytery. If you would like to contribute by standing order you can do so by setting up a payment with your bank to Monthly Collection a/c BIC: AIBK IE2D and IBAN: IE85 AIBK 9320 5158 3660 57 or online using this link https://www.kilmorediocese.ie/donate/ and select Urney & Annagelliff (Cavan). Please put your name as reference or contact us to let us know so that we can issue you with a receipt in January. Holly Wreaths

Killygarry Apostolic Society are selling holly wreaths after all Masses in the parish on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th December. All proceeds to local missionaries – your support would be appreciated. Thank you. Wreaths €13 each.

St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal Local St. Vincent de Paul volunteers are distributing envelopes to houses and businesses in the area at the moment. Envelopes can be dropped into the VdeP box at the entrance to the Cathedral. Donations can also be made online.


Cavan Icebreakers Christmas morning swim will take place at Annagh Lake, Butlersbridge at 11.30am
