CATHEDRAL and ST AUGUSTINE’S HALL RESTORATION – gathering opinions As you are aware the Cathedral will close on 10 May 2022 for extensive restoration work and is expected to reopen by September 2022. This will be followed by two concurrent phases – the major work on St Augustine’s Hall and the cleaning of the interior of the Cathedral. To ensure successful completion of all three stages, we will need to call on the support and commitment of a wide audience, including parishioners, local businesses and friends both at home and abroad. As a first step, we are gathering opinions to help shape the fundraising plan. We will ask you to complete a short survey at all Masses in the Cathedral this weekend (Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May). We are interested in your thoughts on the restoration elements, the fundraising and your potential involvement. Additional details will be shared then. Thank you for your participation.
