Blessing of Graves 2023 Families are asked to prepare their plots for the forthcoming Blessing of Graves. Please bring your own holy water with you to bless the grave. A collection will be taken up at the Blessing to fund the upkeep of the cemeteries throughout the year. Those attending are asked to be as generous as they possibly can.

St Clare’s Chapel ADORATION

Eucharistic Adoration 11am to 7pm daily. In order to facilitate social distancing, it will be held in the main part of the church until further notice. New members to undertake 1 hour of pray per week in the presence of the Blessed of the Sacrament are especially welcome. Contact Liam at 087 2358440 to arrange your hour.

English Classes and Social Activities for those whose First Language is NOT English and need help to improve English Speaking skills. The classes are free of charge. The classes will be held in Castlemanor Community Centre as follows: Thursdays 10th & 17th August. Classes 2pm – 4pm. Class will include a break and refreshments will be provided. National Novena at Knock Shrine 14- 22 August

The National Novena to Our Lady of Knock offers you the opportunity to step away from everyday life and immerse yourself in prayer in the beautiful, peaceful grounds of Knock Shrine. Over the course of the nine-day Novena, we will hear from guest Homilists and Speakers during daily ceremonies at 3pm and 8pm at Knock Basilica. Our theme for this year is ‘Caring for Creation’. Strides for Life This is a walking programme for people recovering from cancer treatment. The programme aims to bring participants to a level of fitness where they can help reduce their risk of a recurrence and improve their health and quality of life. Recommended by the Irish Cancer Society, it is individualised for each participant’s fitness level with a personal schedule which gradually increases every week over the 12 weeks. The course will begin in Cavan in September. Organised by the Cuan cancer social and support centre, the course is free and is suitable for all levels of ability.
